Friendly Chat cares about your safety a great deal. If you're new to chat rooms we suggest you read this page very carefully.
First of all, you need to know that chat rooms are not 'dangerous' places by nature. A lot of it is media hype.
We provide you with a customer support team that are fully trained to help you while using our community. They
will answer your questions, advise you on problems and will keep out undesirables. This is an adult site for people aged 18
and over, children are not permitted.
Staying Safe
To stay safe while using chat rooms all you need is a little common sense. Like any town or city, you'll get the good;
the bad & the ugly. There are simple ways to deal with this and minimize the risk of your chatting experience becoming
a bad one.
- Don't give out personal information
- Don't give out your surname
- Don't give out your residential address or phone number
- Don't give out personal details about yourself, your life, your family, your children etc
People aren't always who they say they are. No matter how well you think you know a chatter, be very cautious
before giving out any information close to your heart.
Sexual Harassment
The main concern for female chatters in any chat site is sexual harassment. Luckily, Friendly Chat is a haven for females
who do not wish to be bombarded by perverts. No other site cares about its female chatters more than Friendly Chat. Any other
site couldn't care less about the amount of perverts they allow on their site. We, however, take a 0 tolerance stance on sexual
harassment.
Sexual harassment is a crime. If you are being harassed in private message, double click on the PM window which will
open up a little notepad. Copy/paste the entire conversation to us via the
contact form. Once you have done that, left click on their username in the list then click BLOCK/IGNORE.
Remember, you can block all incoming private messages by going into the preferences tab.
