Friendly Chat is an adult e-community. It is intended for chatters aged 18 & over only. We cannot and will not be held responsible for any content a minor is subjected to if he or she wrongfully uses our services.

This entire site is copyright to Friendly Chat ©. The site is regularly backed up and records are always kept, including the original dates. The format, layout, literature and slogan ("Your friendly e-community") belongs to Friendly Chat © and may not be copied, imitated or plagiarised without written & signed permission from its owner.
English
Being an international site, we must ask you to stick to the universal language of 'English'. This is so staff members can monitor what is being said, and that nobody is alienated, abused, mocked or is offended. Staff members reserve the right to request you stick to the English language when you use our services, if you refuse you may be banned.
Usernames
Usernames that include sexual, harassing, intimidating or generally inappropriate comments or words are not permitted. We also do not allow the advertising of third party software or offline meeting that jeapordize the personal safety of our chatters. Such words & comments include (but are not limited to);
* MSN
* CAM
* SEXUAL WORDS
* RACIST WORDS
* SWEAR WORDS
* OTHER OFFENSIVE WORDS
* MEET
Sexual Content
Our main aim is to keep our community a safe & pleasant one, where like-minded adults can meet, make friends and let their hair down without being harassed by perverts.
However; we understand that this is a community for adults and from time to time adults like to discuss topics of a sexual nature. This is what the "Sex, Love & Relationships" category on the message boards is for.
We do allow sexual content of a moderate nature in our chat rooms, along with moderate 'adult' words. But this is not to be abused and if you go too far you will still be asked to adjust your behaviour and you can still be banned for several offences includnig:
Persistent scrolling
Sexual content of a grotesque nature
Excessive swearing
Using offensive words when the majority of the room has expressed that it is unwanted
Abuse and/or harassment
Swearing
We try our best to cater for a wide audience of adults, including those who want friendly chats without all the usual offensiveness and swearing associated with other chat sites. So while moderate expletives are permitted when used within context, we ask you to respect the other chatters' wishes if they ask you to stop. If you persistently abuse this leniency you will be given a code of conduct reminder from our staff.
Spamming
We do not allow the spamming of URLs, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, real names, MSN addresses or any other similar content. This is both for your protection and the protection of other members. Spamming (unsolicited advertising) is in breach of your ISP's terms of service, we will request the closure of your ISP account.
Registration
When you register to our community, you agree to only sign up with one username, not to spam or post abuse to fellow members. You also agree that once you have registered your name, we cannot just 'delete your account and posts' on request. We'll have to wait 24 hours to wait for you to cool down, and then we will request confirmation.
Deleting usernames & posts makes the site look messy, and we don't want to get into a circle of people deleting their account in a strop only to re-create another one a week later.
Pictures uploaded to our community must not breach any copyright. Pictures uploaded to the community must be royalty free, open to the public, pictures that belong to you or pictures you have permission to re-distribute. This can be a picture of yourself, comedy pictures, pictures of your pets and any other such pictures.
You are not to upload rude pictures, offensive pictures or explicit pictures of any kind. Doing so will result in an immediate ban. If you upload pictures of you exposing certain body parts, the log, the picture and your IP address will be sent to your ISP.
Sexual harassment & indecent exposure are crimes. We do not tolerate perverts & sex offenders at Friendly Chat.
Staff
Our staff members are 100% voluntary, they are a hard working & dedicated team. They are just like you; regular members of the community - please treat them with respect and understand that they are just trying to help a new community grow to the best of their ability.
Our staff members may remove you from our community for any of the following reasons;
We suspect you are under 18
Your chosen username is inappropriate, hurtful or offensive
You are harassing our staff or other community members
You are impersonating a staff member
You are persistently disrupting the community as a whole
You are spamming the community
You are preaching, soliciting or condoning illegal activities
You are a pervert
Perverts
We reserve the right to determine ourselves what we constitute a 'pervert' within our community. We do not use this term for libelous or slanderous reasons; we use it to help differentiate between ordinary, friendly & welcomed chatters from those that seek 'sexual acts' over their computer screen that we'd rather stay away from our community.
Boot On Sight
We reserve the right to put your name on our 'boot on sight' list. Members on this list are permanently banned from using any of the Friendly Chat services. Members will only be put on this list in extreme, rare circumstances. Such reasons include (but are not limited to);
Giving out residential addresses
Serious sexual harassment
Serious threatening behaviour and/or abuse
Only the management has the right to put names on this list, although support staff members have the right to request a member be put on it.
Bannings
Bans can last anywhere between a few hours to a day, depending on when you get banned as the ban list is cleared once every 24 hours. Staff members will not discuss anyone elses banning with you, nor will they debate any banning with you on the client. If you have any ban-related enquiries please e-mail us.
